The Journey

We cruised up the M4, A449, M50, M5, M6 and any other road we travelled on. Cruising is the name of the game when you have an X5.

We made excellent time, the traffic was good - even through Birmingham! - but we still weren't sure we were getting there until we spotted our first dry stone wall. Then we knew we were"up North" and the countryside opened up around us.

Here we go - dry stone walls in abundance.
	The first view we had of Lake Windermere (can you see it?). Although the sky looks overcast here it was in fact a gorgeous day with the sun out for most of the time. All in all a good start to the holiday.
